110: Breaking Promises

I made these promises
And day by day
I broke every last one
Broke them all

So entrenched in academia,
Exploring the physical world,
Immersed in the wonders of science
I forgot to write

Is this by way of apology?
Perhaps not, for if one must be
Fully invested in one aspect
One must sacrifice the other

Perhaps not a complete sacrifice
But still a sacrifice nevertheless
Which one is more important?
